Eligibility
International applicants who wish to learn Korean may apply to the Korean language program.
- Applicants whose own and both parents’ nationalities are non-Korean
- Applicants who have graduated (or expect to graduate) from high school in Korea or abroad, or hold an equivalent or higher qualification
- Applicants motivated to learn Korean (beginners welcome; no TOPIK level required)
- Applicants able to cover the costs of study and residence in Korea

Documents must have been issued and notarised within three months of the application deadline. Documents in other languages must be accompanied by a Korean or English notarised translation.

Academic document verification you must check before applying.
Academic documents issued abroad must go through the verification procedure set for each country in order to be accepted, to prevent forgery. Verification can take several weeks, so please prepare well ahead of the application deadline.

Verification procedures and accepted qualifications vary by country and may change. Some qualifications, such as vocational high school diplomas, require separate confirmation, so please contact the Office of International Affairs before applying.
