The Office of International Affairs at Donga University of Health (the “Office”) establishes and discloses this privacy policy under Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act, in order to protect the personal information of data subjects and to handle related concerns promptly.
1. Purpose of Processing
- Admissions consultation and verification of applicant eligibility
- Registration and course management for the Korean language program
- Support for visa, insurance, dormitory and other aspects of student life
- Announcements and responses to enquiries

3. Retention Period
The Office processes and retains personal information within the period required by law or consented to by the data subject.
- Application data: one year after the admissions cycle ends (six months for unsuccessful applicants)
- Enrolled student records: the period set by the Higher Education Act and related legislation
- Website enquiries: one year after the enquiry is resolved
4. Provision to Third Parties
The Office processes personal information only within the purposes stated above, and provides it to third parties only where Articles 17 and 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act apply, such as with the data subject’s consent or under specific legal provisions. Submitting documents to the Korea Immigration Service for visa applications and extensions is processing required by law.
5. Rights of Data Subjects
You may at any time request access, correction, deletion or suspension of processing of your personal information, in writing, by telephone or by email. The Office will act without delay. Where you request correction of an error, the Office will not use or provide the information until the correction is complete.
6. Destruction of Personal Information
Once the retention period expires or the purpose is achieved, personal information is destroyed without delay (within five days). Electronic files are permanently erased by irrecoverable means; paper documents are shredded or incinerated.
7. Security Measures
- Minimising the number of staff handling personal information, with regular training
- Managing access rights to processing systems and retaining access logs
- Encrypting personal information in storage and transmission
- Physical measures such as locked document storage

10. Changes to This Policy
This policy takes effect on 3 August 2026. If content is added, removed or amended due to changes in law, policy or security technology, we will announce it on the website at least seven days before the change takes effect.
