How do I extend my student visa?

QQuestion

My D-2 visa expires in about two months. I would like to know the extension procedure and the documents required. Can the Office of International Affairs help me?

AAnswer from the Office of International Affairs

Hello, this is the Office of International Affairs. You may apply for a visa extension from four months before expiry. You will need your Alien Registration Card, certificate of enrollment, certificate of admission and proof of financial capability. Book a visit in advance at HiKorea (hikorea.go.kr), then visit your local Immigration Office. If you have difficulty preparing the documents, please contact us at +82-61-470-1700 and a staff member will assist you individually.
